Accessibility

Last updated July 31, 2026

Most people who use this site are over fifty-five, and a good number of them use larger text, a screen reader, or a keyboard rather than a mouse. We have built it accordingly, and we would rather hear about a problem than not.

What we target

We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA. In several places we deliberately go beyond it, because the standard's minimums assume a sharper-eyed user than ours.

  • Body text starts at 17px and no text anywhere on the site, including disclosures, is smaller than 15px.
  • Text contrast meets the standard for normal-size text everywhere, including on large headings where a lower ratio would technically be allowed.
  • Tap targets are at least 48 pixels, and the buttons that matter are larger still.
  • Navigation works without a mouse, and nothing important is hidden behind a hover.
  • Animation is minimal and is switched off entirely if your device asks for reduced motion.
  • Pinch-zoom is never disabled.

Known limitations

We test with automated tooling and by keyboard on every release, but automated testing does not catch everything and we do not claim the site is perfect.

Tell us about a problem

If something on this site is difficult or impossible for you to use, email privacy@yourdisabilityinfo.com and describe what happened and what you were using. We will fix it, and in the meantime we will give you the information you were after another way — including over the phone.
